Nike has made some new boots that only Cristiano Ronaldo can wear

Nike have created the CR7 Mercurial Campeoes to mark what has been a tremendous year for Ronaldo – even by his own very high standards.

Over the last 12 months the Portugal star won his first international title by triumphing at Euro 2016 and was part of a Real Madrid side that became the first team to retain the European Cup in the Champions League era. Plus he won La Liga, secured another Ballon d’Or and scored a crazy amount of goals.

The new boots are red with a dash of green, in recognition of the success with Portugal. The rest is all gold because that is the colour of a champion.

Ronaldo will don the blingy special edition footwear at this summer’s Confederations Cup in Russia.
